There is MUCH consideration about having FOUR (4) day work and school weeks,
however, school and work hours would be a bit longer each day.
What are your thoughts about a FOUR (4) day work/school week?
What are the advantages? Disadvantages?

I think a 4 day work wee is good and bad cause its good cause kids also have one day to review and catch up on what they learned. And parents working get a day of break. But its also bad because schools might not have enough time to finish what they need to learn in time.And same for parents with their deadlines .

Deletei think four day weeks are a really good idea, even though it’s adding extra school hours i‘m intrigued by it because we might have an extra day off from school. i always used to think that two days off from school was never enough but now knowing that we might have 3 days seems more interesting and it’s something i would want to experience. some of the advantages could be more time to work on homework, instead of two days of having to cram all the work you were given, we’d have an extra day and depending on how much homework you have it would balance off well. some disadvantages are just schedules in general, meaning if school ended at 3:30-4, and i have an hour and a half practice, i’m going to be exhausted when i get home and not only that but i might have to complete homework that’s due the next day and it could get really tiering.

DeleteI do not know what I think of a four day work week. On one hand, it is good because we can get an extra day off, but on the other hand, it is bad since we have to work longer each day. I do not see any real advantages or disadvantages in this for me personally, because in the end I am still doing roughly the same amount of work each day. I guess the weekend would feel a bit more earned because I did more work each day, and therefore I get a longer weekend.
ReplyDeleteA four day school week sounds amazing, but would have been more awesome if this had happened when we still went to school for 7 hours everyday. The idea sounds pretty cool, but I don’t really see the need right now to do that because we only have one class per day. One big advantage is that we can have more time to do other more interesting things. But a big disadvantage is that eventually we will run out of things to do if everything is closed. And against my kid side that doesn't want school, next year we will be beyond. And having a four day school week won’t really do all that much of a difference but that disadvantage is more for a bigger problem. Anyway, maybe it’s a good idea.
ReplyDeleteA four day week sounds nice but I think it would be kind of annoying because we would have to work for longer, and I personally do not want to work for longer to just have one extra day off, I feel like we would have more time off with doing 5 days for less time, but I am not sure.

ReplyDeleteI think that a four day work week could be a good idea. The advantages are that we would work less days. We would get three days off instead of two. More time to relax and sleep. The disadvantages are that since we are working less days we might have to work more hours in a day. If that does happen, we will be extra tired that day.
ReplyDeleteI think a four day week is a very good idea ,because we have a bit more time to relax and do our work.the advantages as I said more time to relax and more time to do our work and we could sleep in more but the disadvantages are maybe that one day that there might be more time of online teaching so you might have to sit in a chair for maybe one or two hours .
ReplyDeleteI think a four day week would be good because then you would have more time to do work on the weekend. Some kids find school very stressful so having one less day of school would be good. The disadvantages are that the days would be longer which I don’t think people would like. Since it would be a four day week I think the teachers would give more work for the weekend since we have an extra day.
