Think about ALL the rules you have to follow at home and school.
Why do you feel these rules are in place?
What are some of the consequences if you don't follow the rules?
Does the consequence always fit the "crime"?
Do you believe that once the consequence is served, the behaviour changes?
Explain.
i think that the rules that the school (for instance) were made for safety. i think that the school put the phone rule because they don’t want us getting distracted, therefore by getting the chance of us getting distracted, then us getting lower grades. in school it’s detentions and they take it away, but for me at home i’ll just loose my phone for a day or two. i think deoemdkng on what you did consequences in general are a good idea so that u learn from your mistakes and never repeat it again.i think that sometimes with certain people the behaviour changes because they don’t want to experience the consequences again or they’ve just learnt they’re lesson.

DeleteAt home, I don't really have rules I just do what I want but at school, you have to follow rules like are school isn't aloud phones consequences at school are you get it taken away and get a detention. No I don't think it fits with crime unless it's a really bad rule you broke.I think it depends on the kid he might learn a lesson but one might nor

DeleteWe have rules at school and at home so everything can be controlled. Without rules it would be chaotic. There are many different consequences if you don’t follow the rules. Like at home maybe you would lose one of your personal belongings or if it's at school you would get a dentition. Not all consequences go with what happens. Like let's say you are running in the halls and a school teacher could give a detention because you 're running in the halls but what the teacher should have done is to tell them to stop running instead of giving a detention. Not all consequences fixes a person's behavior.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. Good blog
Deletei agree nice blog
DeleteI agree. Without rules it would be very chaotic. Good blog
DeleteDifferent rules have different purposes. Some rules are to keep people safe. Some rules are to punish people for acting like idiots. Some rules though, like the no phone rule in place at our school, are just there to make the rule makers feel powerful, and serve no real purpose. Some consequences for being caught breaking the rules are detentions, suspensions, and sometimes even being transferred to a different school. No, the consequence doesn’t always fit the crime because sometimes people get punished for stupid reasons. I do not think that people’s behaviour always changes after a punishment. That depends on the person.
ReplyDeleteI think that to it depends on the person.
DeleteI think most of the rules we have at school and the consequences are reasonable but there are a few rules and consequences I do not agree with, for example dress code and of course the no phone rule, both of these are dumb and I think the consequences for the no phone rule are dumb and should be different. I also do not believe consequences or a punishment will fix a child's behavior and it will only make them find a way to get away with it and to do it without you knowing and the kid will probably hate you after depending on how much trouble you get them in.
ReplyDeleteI think these rules are in place to keep everything in control and to keep everyone safe. If there weren't certain rules then everything would be out of control. At home if you don’t follow the rules then maybe your parents will take away something of yours like your phone. At school if you don’t follow the rules you get a detention. I don't think that the consequences always fit the crime. I think it depends on the person if their behaviour changes after the consequence is served. Some people just really don’t care and they still do it. Others actually take it seriously and don’t do it again.
ReplyDeleteI think these rules are enforced to have order in anywhere there are rules ,I forgot to say to not descend in to anarchy . If you do not follow the rules at school you could get a detention you could be suspended or even worse expelled . at home you could be grounded or get electronic privileges taken away from you . most of the time the consequence fit's the crime but it dose not always.the person who does the crime not always changes after it .
ReplyDeleteI think some of the rules we have at school are no the best like the no phone rule. I think that it is a very bad rule. Every other schools allows phones. I would understand if they just did not want the in class but i find it annoying to not be able to have them on our breaks. I think the consequence is exaggerated. An afterschool because a teacher saw us on our phone is just to much. Maybe a lunch. Phones are something that almost everyone uses in there every day life and i dont think banning them makes sense.
ReplyDeleterules are in place to meke sure things run smooth.
